AHA 2020 Heartsaver® First Aid CPR AED Online

This course is meant for the person who needs to know CPR and First Aid for their employment outside of a healthcare setting such as residential workers, daycare providers, and athletic trainers, as well as for laypersons who want the training.

The AHA 2020 Heartsaver® First Aid CPR AED Online is the AHA’s blended learning online method for the Heartsaver course. Blended learning is a combination of eLearning, in which a student completes part of the course in a self-directed manner, followed by a hands-on session. Designed for personnel who need to know how to perform CPR and other basic cardiovascular life support skills in a wide variety of in-facility and prehospital settings.

Heartsaver First Aid CPR AED Online is for the eLearning component of the blended learning course. It uses a variety of eLearning assets such as dramatizations, eSimulations, animations, self-directed learning, and interactive activities to teach students life-saving knowledge and skills. After completing the eLearning component, students will attend a structured, instructor-led course that focuses on meaningful skills practice, debriefing, team scenarios, discussions of local protocols, and skills testing. The online portion can be completed approximately 4 hours.

Note:  The dates listed are for the Skills Evaluation portion of the course.  Completion of the Heartsaver Online course is required prior to your scheduled Skills Evaluation.  Please email a copy of the Heartcode certificate to cpr@countyamb.com
